Our scrumptious blankets and scarves are created by a group of master craftsmen and women from Sierra Leone using a unique process we call, “up-cycling.” This indigenous and authentic art form is passed along by the elders, taking years to perfect.
A century-old Sierra Leonean tradition, weaving is passed down to each generation and is one of their few remaining native art forms. Weavers use sweaters from around the world, unweaving each one, respooling the yarn, then reweaving that yarn into strips using traditional looms. As a result, each creation is a one-of-a-kind combination – a global piece of art.
We know you will enjoy a lifetime of enjoyment from these very special pieces.
